The House

Surrounded by a natural museum, and 2.5 km away from Pola de Somiedo, you will find a two hundred year old house that, after being badly damaged by fire, has been completely renovated preserving the traditional architectural taste and building materials for its new use as rural accommodation.

Inside the house you can still appreciate:

  • The hearth
  • The wine cellar, although the vineyards disappeared long ago from this area
  • The traditional stone bread oven
  • All the rural utensils, furnishing and tools nowadays almost forgotten but that in this house have found again their place and identity.

On the ground floor is located the largest apartment, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, drawing room and large traditional kitchen.

On the same floor there are also the laundry and the dining room.

On the first floor there are the reception room, a large drawing room and 3 apartments. Each one has heating system and consists of double room, bathroom and dining room with open kitchen. The dining room is furnished with fireplace, TV set, and sofa bed. The kitchen has all modern appliances including fridge, glass-ceramic hob, extractor fan, microwave, toaster, kitchenware, china and cutlery.

The balconies invite to enjoy the wonderful views from the house and listen to the nature silence and murmurs at dusk.

There is also a small car park for guests, kitchen garden and a 7000 metres plot with fruit trees and garden to relax and watch birds, roe deer and other regular visitors.
